Learnings from this week

I get overly excited about the quality of fruit and vegetables. Possibly even slightly aroused (in a foodie sense).

I babysat a friend’s eight year-old daughter, who told me that in ten years time she’ll be an adult, “… and I don’t ever want to be an adult, Leah! I never want to grow up! I want to be a kid forever!” … You and me both, sister! The only difference is you’re still living out your childhood.

I'd love to send the guy that booty called me last night the following text message:
“Hey [name]. I am enquiring how I can opt out of your booty call mailing list. (… I’d also like to learn how I got on that list, considering I am not interested in you one bit. However that’s a different enquiry all together)”

Never trust someone that doesn’t show an open-smile picture of themselves on their online dating profile. Chances are they are hiding a set of braces, bad teeth, or even worse, no teeth at all! … This one was learnt from experience.
You know this guy definitely doesn't show teeth on his dating profile
  I really dislike online dating.

Dating is like finding a needle in a haystack. It’s also pretty prickly.

One of the very many excellent shots of Amy Poehler in her book 'Yes Please'

I’ve recently treated myself to Amy Poehler’s book, ‘Yes Please’. I’ve only read the first few pages, but I am so impressed with the genuineness and hilarity of Amy Poehler’s words. You get a very real sense that the words on the page came from her mouth, and the struggles she went through writing the book were real. Also the book so visually well thought out and well worth a look!

If I wear my hair in a top bun, I have these short little curly tuffs of hair that resembles a Jewish orthodox boy.

Evidence that I resemble a Jewish orthodox boy.

Social media is both my friend and the devil also.

I’ve really missed blogging and cannot wait to get back into it.
